Not much time for words lately, but many visuals are floating through my mind and dreams.

Another beautiful day in Tucson…

…followed by another ‘ho-hum’ sunset.

Water carved a solid surface perfect for riding:

Stray and you’re working hard and/or walking. Kinda reminds me of something up north (AK).

Louis climbing Hidden Canyon. My camera has 25 video clips on it, all of which are duds from both of us. Them be some haaaaard switchbacks, and we made little progress on them.

Sweetwater hike with newly arrived Alan and Misty.

We’d never been to the Tucson Gem show.

We then went to the Botanical Gardens, ~1 mile from my house, but again I’d never been there:

It was fun to try taking pics of the array of butterflies they have.

It was a great weekend with Al and Misty. Bobo’s, Rosa’s, Brooklyn Pizza, homemade bread… mmm…

Al suggested the Charouleau Gap climb for his first ride choice. It’s a good ride, but one I haven’t done for… years? (Chad and I rode down part of it last weekend).

Good choice. Tons of fun (steep!) climbing. I need to ride it more often. 2000′ of techy jeep road climbing.

Al was on my Behemoth. He started out cautiously on the descent, but before long he was ripping and calling it the “no fear” bike. “You can ride over anything without fear!”

We played the classic ‘force a dab’ game on the last few hills out of the CDO wash. Stalling each other out, dabbing and laughing. Then we made a quick tour of the desert museum before they were off back to Oregon.
