Every once in a while an email arrives that stops me dead in my tracks. A dumbfounded “WOW” was all I could muster forth as I stared at the three dimensional map.

A grander tour of the Sonoran Desert is difficult to conceive of. It covers… well, basically everything worth covering. All the major ranges, all the valleys, a fair chunk of AZT and GET. The highest high spots and the lowest lows.
And it’s not just a ‘concept’ either. Brett is a GPX wizard of the first order. What he hasn’t figured out through diligent use of TopoFusion, Google Earth, paper maps, google and phone calls, he’ll figure out on the ground as he hikes the thing — all 500 miles of it.
Yep, I’m a big fan of his work, and I’m already dreaming of the bike version…
