Rain

We finally got a tiny bit of rain. So there was really only one thing to do: go ride in it.

My bike even got a tad bit of mud on it. Myself and a fair number of other denizens of this place known as Tucson were out enjoying it on the river trail. The sunset was pretty incredible with a bonus complete rainbow.

I love riding after a desert rain storm. Something about the smell and freshness. We haven’t been able to enjoy such things in Tucson for months. Hopefully we won’t have to wait so long until the next opportunity.

Riding the big bike (Behemoth) is big fun, but so is the B-29. I’ve been enjoying some “foothills” rides, exploring washes and horse trails trying to come up with “Suburban Assault 2.” I’ve had some success and some major failures thus far. I fear forest closures could force us to be more creative with the ‘in-town’ ride options.

I did a good ride with Jay this week. The guy’s got spirit (and skill on a bike). We rode up to cherry tank, then climbed C-gap before turning around and re-tracing the descent Louis and I took on the CDO run. It was nice to have ample daylight and tire pressure to ride the whole thing.
