Waypoints not placing correctly in Topofusion
« on: August 22, 2009, 03:35:22 PM »
 ???
When I place a new waypoint on the map it jumps about 100 feet away (based on the ruler in bottom right screen). I'm using version 3.71 and it never used to do this. I uninstalled, rebooted my PC, and reinstalled and the same thing is happening. Any ideas?

I can select the waypoint and drag it to where I want but that is a pain.

More info: Waypoints are offsetting south

So I did a test using the goto coordinate feature.......
I entered latitude 40 and  longitude -85 and selected place waypoint.
When I hover over the waypoint with the mark waypoint cursor it shows 39.99980 N and 85.0W
On the waypoints screen it shows 39.99991 N and 85.0W

New waypoints are offsetting south for no apparrent reason. Like I mentioned earlier I never had any problems before using Topofusion.

Hi,

I am fairly certain that this was a bug in datum transformations (perhaps you recently changed to something other than WGS84?) that was introduced for a version or two and then subsequently fixed.

Try updating to the latest (3.85) version and let us know if you still experience this problem.

Thanks.

Upgrading from 3.71 to 3.85 resolved the issue. Thanks.  Gotta love when a bug randomly rears it's head.
