Topofusion Won't Load

My copy of topofusion won't load. It gets to the continent.gpx file in the splash image and hangs. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I have deleted the entire contents of the GIS folder.

I don't want to delete all my settings, and particularly my log book, but my GPS is quickly filling up and I need to get the files off. Any idea what is causing the error?

Hi,

Sorry about the delay responding -- somehow I didn't get the notification of this new topic.

Let's have a look at the TF diagnostic file and see if there are any clues in there.

Once you deleted your GIS folder, what is it hanging on now?  There shouldn't be a continent.gpx file, so it should hang on that (it may be some other file you have loaded).

You can hang onto your settings by copying the TopoFusion.ini file into another directory, or rename it.  Then see if it'll load with the default settings.  Most likely it will, but at least we'd know for sure it's some file or setting causing the issue.

Interesting - I shut down Trend Micro, and it loaded right up. I wonder if the anti-virus thinks one of the files is a virus or somehow the firewall is getting involved.

There should be a shortcut in the TF start menu for the diagnostic file.  It's just a text file.

Interesting on the firewall.  Sounds like that's the culprit!
