Trouble to dl maps with latest Pro demo

Hello,

I can't seem to download any maps with the latest demo version of Pro - but I can download the topo maps with the latest available demo version on Basic.

I stop all firewalls and still can't get Pro to download; don't use a proxy server. Experienced this on Vista and XP.

Hi,

That is very strange.  How are you running both TF basic and Pro on the same computer?  I can't account for such a difference in map downloading.  I was still going to guess firewall permissions (allowed for one TopoFusion.exe and not the other) but if you are installing/switching between Pro and Basic it should be the same exectuable in the same place.

So... unfortunately I am not sure what to suggest.  I can confirm that TF Pro is downloading maps, topo, aerial, myTopo etc, at least from my machine.

Anyone else having this problem?

One thing to try is going back to default settings:

To reset back to default settings, delete (or rename) the file TopoFusion.ini.  It should be here:
C:\Documents and Settings\*Your USER NAME*\Local Settings\Application Data\TopoFusion\TopoFusion.ini

Or for older installs:

C:\Program Files\TopoFusion\TopoFusion.ini

Hi Scott,

It is strange - but I am not running both at the same time. After the trouble with Pro, I uninstalled it. Then I tried the Basic version - and it worked.

I will uninstall Basic now and try Pro again and delete the .ini file - will report later if this worked

Just installed Pro demo on an XP machine without uninstalling Basic demo. The install overrode Basic, and now when I start the program it launches Pro and downloads topo maps
