Hey,

I just had a customer who wanted 3 tracks.  TF successfully transferred all 3, but only the last track would display.  Essentially, any new upload replaced the 1, old upload.

Is there a way I can upload and display multiple tracks on an EDGE 305 using TF?

more jnfo possibly related to the edge 305 issue described above.

TF appears to be uploading TCX files, rather than GPX files.  Noted this when trying to upload tracks/courses to an EDGE 705.  I sent 4 files to the 705 and only the last of the four appeared in the saved tracks menu.  I checked the 705 GPX folder and noted that they were all TCX files.

To coax the files onto the 705 I sent the files to my DAKOTA 20, saved them to my desktop, then dropped them in the 705 GPX folder.

Any idea why TF is uploading track/courses onto the 705 as TCX files?

I suspect the same problem is causing the EDGE 305 issue I described above, but I'm not positive.

Hey Derrick,

Thanks for the goodies up at Marshal Pass.

Pretty sure the 305 can only display (slash "do") a one course at a time.  Doesn't matter what method you use to upload it.

There is a significant difference between a course and a GPX file as far as the 705 is concerned.  TF does what (I think?) most people will want, but you can always do a "save as.." to GPX from within TF and copy it directly to the GPX dir.

Maybe that helps a bit, maybe not...

I will try the save as option.  I ran over my edge 705...so I can't go back and determine for sure if TF is sending TCX rather than GPX files.

thanks for the "save as" suggestion.
