TopoFusion use to display to me effort and difficulty index, now it does not. They are all 0.000. Any thoughts on what could be causing that?

Never heard of that before. Just to check, all these files have elevation and time data, right? (Both indices will be zero especially if there is no elevation data).

I believe so. It's right from my GPS. Attached is a screen shot of a hike I took with my daughter around the local park. I can send you the GPX if you'd like.

Yep, all the data is there. Send it over and I'll see if I get numbers or not.

I think the problem is the "moving threshold" (options->properties->units->minimum speed to consider moving). If it is too low, (can be esp. true on a hike) you won't "score" and difficulty points since the software is considering you to not be moving.
Try increasing it a bit.

It was set to 0.2mph (I think that's default, I don't remember moving it). I changed it to 0.5, 0.8, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0. None caused the difficulty or effort index to return. It's confusing because it has always working then just one day on files that use to have them they all suddenly disappeared across the board.

Any more thoughts?

Sorry, this one has stumped me. It's not the best solution, but I'm guessing if you reset your TF settings by deleting your .ini file, you'll get the numbers back.
To reset back to default settings, delete (or rename) the file TopoFusion.ini. It should be here:
C:\Documents and Settings\*Your USER NAME*\Local Settings\Application Data\TopoFusion\TopoFusion.ini

Yes, doing that caused the Difficulty and Effort indexes to reappear. Would my .ini that caused the indexes to result in zero help you debug the problem any? I did save it.

Sure, if you could send it over (smorris@topofusion.com) that would be great. Hopefully I can figure out what caused it.
