How to get the trail I make colrored to show the elevations. How to make colors change with elevation change. Hope this question makes sence.

You need to add elevation to the track using "Climbing Analysis."

Find it on the Analysis Menu.  Choose the track you want in the top file selector then hit the "add elevation to track" button.
