Title: direct editing gpx file. make 7 tracks into 1?
Post by: montejw360 on April 26, 2009, 10:06:24 PM
Sort of on topic, I use TopoFusion Pro.  Sort of not.  But anyway, is there a way to edit a gpx file that came off my eTrex and make the 7 tracks on it into 1?  I guess I'm looking for the delineation between the tracks in the file.  I opened it in Notepad and didn't find the delineation in a quick glance.

Thanks,
Monte

Yes, there should be.  If you want to merge the 7 tracks, just use the Merge Tool and click on them in the order you want, then right click and choose "save as...".

Depending on where those 7 tracks came from, they are either in separate <trk> or <trkseg> structures.  Or maybe they are already merged?

Thanks Scott, I didn't see that tool.  It works as you described.
