Another question
« on: January 29, 2012, 11:25:51 AM »
Hi all,  apologies for numerous questions, but i just got frustrated enought to look for sources of help this morning and discovered this forum.  Another question is,  When I go to maps,  I find most map sources not avail to me.  It says,  and can try panning from another location, but this does not work.
Or it says, unavailable, etc.  I am located in BC Canada.   This may be part of the problem.  I am currently working with maps (or trying to) around the Okanagan Lake area.   I am using the MyTopo maps, they work, but lots of other menu options dont.   can someone suggest good mapping sites that TF will "talk" to, that are relevant to my area?

Thanks

Hi,

Yeah, as you discovered, many of the map types are only available in the US.  Check the list here:

http://www.topofusion.com/features.php#imagery

Each has a "coverage" line telling you what is supported.

MyTopo, open street maps, open cycle map and landsat are a few that are good in Canada.

Hope that helps.
