select a section of a track to analyse?
« on: October 19, 2015, 08:33:40 PM »
Is it possible to select a section of a track to learn the distance traveled and the time spent between those selected points? Playing with the app the entire track wants to get selected.

Hi,

Sorry, the profile tool can only do stats for the entire track, or for a portion of a track from the *start* to any point in the middle (by mouse-over on the profile).

If you want a different starting point, you can use the scissors tool to cut the track at that point, then profile the rest of the track.  Be careful not to save out the file if you do this, though!

Thanks for the question.

That's a shame. It would be a useful feature.

I posted this to Reddit explaining why I want this feature...

I would like to analyze tracks to learn distance and times between key points. For example discover how long we spent at crazy river crossings.
