TopoFusion Pro / Multi-playback track naming
« on: March 13, 2012, 12:09:21 PM »
If a <trk> has a <name> then that name is used as a track label.
This is an exception to the manual section Adding text labels and colors to the points.

(frustrating for a while)

I made the mistake of touching "Calibrate Point X" which reset the whole setup.

Small problem: if I bring up the UML Window (^U) the base map switches to 1M Urban.

To make my tracks align on the maps I am using User Maps (screens shots from another program).
To align I pick a calibration point on the user map and in the base view I pick a corresponding point in a GPX track.  I ignore the basemap (4M topo) since it will never match the true GPS.

It would simplify things if calibration were a matter of telling/pointing TF where on the User Map a waypoint coresponds.

PS How can one "nudge" the calibration without redoing the work?

Terraserver @ http://terraserver-usa.com is responsible for the maps and definitely that error.

Bummer that there's another shift.  Have you tried the "Correct Map offset" function (under the Window menu)?  If you figure out the correct offset for that area, I'd love to add it to the drop down for other's convenience.

Thanks.

Unfortunately Correct Map Offset changes all maps.
LOOK HERE

Wood Canyon is displaced 800M between the upper and lower maps. (and more errors)

Who is the responsible party/fixer?  Anyone?
Four maps meet here.
34.12439° N
119.00113° W

The two maps to the West are off.  You can easily see Wood Canyon getting a tectonic shift.  My GPS tracks agree with the maps to the East.

The curent default is yyyy-mm-dd.  I often create two or more tracks per day.  I'd like to see TF adopt the Garmin standard of yyyy-mm-dd-hh-mm-ss.   Date and start time of track.  (local time)
