TopoFusion Basic / Downloading partial tracks from a larger track to my Garmin

I have a gpx track for a race that I am doing. the total track is around 375 miles but I want to just download sections of the track for pre race riding. I used the cutting tool and was able to separate it into a track on its own and label it but I cannot download just the one section to my Garmin.
