Yes, much higher resolution than the current view.  Tried Topo16 and Aerial16.  I am preparing for a trip and want to include the entire area to take with me.  I may need to download several smaller maps to the Garmin Oregon 650 and switch between them.

TopoFusion Pro / Trouble Exporting View

I am having trouble exporting the view.  My internet is not the fastest in the world, so I thought that might be it.  I changed number of connections down to 10 and restart time to 10 seconds.  No help.

Here are the messages I see in the log:

Feature Requests / goto feature

Is it possible to have a feature that will find a location like google maps?  E.g. I want to find a topo of Wiborg, KY, Goto Wiborg, KY and the TF mainscreen will go there.

Okay.  Beta version doesn't hang on either computer, but gives me a black map on the desktop.  Get good maps from the laptop.

At least now I have the demo version that works on one of my computers to see if this is the tool for me :)

Thanks for getting the hang-up problem worked out!

Oh, if I buy the full pro version, will it have the hang-up problem fixed in it?

Regards,
Denver

Thanks Scott.  I got the new version and it doesn't hang.  It gives me a black map though.  File size is < 20kb (empty?).  Since you indicated earlier that a black map might be a sign of a graphics problem, I'll try the new version on my laptop this weekend.  Heading out to the woods right after work today :)

More info.  It seemed to work ... "Export Complete," but the map just shows up as black on my Oregon.  I did this with both topo4M, topo16M, and aerial.  Satellite image works though ... go figure?

I had opened and closed TopoFusion since, so I locked it up again.  It's locked up right now.  Where is the TopoFusion.log located?  I did a search and found none.

Thanks :)

Thanks for the reply Scott.  The dialog says "Downloading Maps."  I am unable to hit cancel.  Both the Export pop-up and TF itself will not respond.  Last night I just let it stay locked up and found the following message in a separate box this morning, "Fatal Error:  Reseting D3D device failed.  Try closing other graphic intensive software before running TopoFusion."  TF was the only application I had running.

Thanks for the help,
Denver

TopoFusion Pro / Lockup when exporting topo 4M to Oregon 450
« on: March 29, 2010, 05:36:41 PM »
Hi.  Just got my Oregon 450.  Downloaded TF Pro demo last week in prep.  I was able to successfully download several aerial image maps to my Oregon, but when I try to download the topo 4M of the same areas, TF just locks up.

Thanks for any advice,
Denver
