What's the best way to fill an 8 1/2 X 11 page, landscape view, without distortion of the scale? I've searched the archives and can't find a solution.

Thanks Dreadfox for the info.  I haven't made a move on one yet, so I'll sure check one of these out. How's it on ink and how much are the cartridges?

Anybody seen the results of a Brother HL-4570 CDW?

Anybody have recommendations on an excellent laser color printer for maps?  Excellent in terms of home office use.  For maps I plan to use waterproof paper mostly.   Likewise, does anyone know of laser printers to avoid?  All advice, comments, or horror stories welcome.

Scott,

At first I thought it might be a limitation of the unit; the proper directions may be reserved for those purchasing Garmin maps.  One clue to the possibility is that, somehow unbeknownst to me, my 4m topo showed up in the photographs on the unit.  So it may be possible to work out a toggle between separate places on the unit with the short cut function.  Also I'll see about making a waypoint out of a map.  Anyway I'm not finished foolin' around with this.

Let me know if you learn anything, and I'll do the same.  Thanks, TF pro  has been great to work with!

Thanks Scott,

All my custom maps are listed under Enabled Custom Maps, but I don't have any way to enable them individually, or switch between them in the field - but I know they're there.  When I put a Color Aerial over a 24K, I can only look at the Color Aerial.

Map Information allows me to enable or disable only, there are no vectors.  Am I missing something obvious to most?

Thanks,

Tom

I have a Montana 650 and can't figure out how to load two or more maps for one area and then toggle between them.  I can load multiple maps but can only pull up the last one loaded.

I know this is a garmin issue but figured I might get it explained here quicker and better.  I downloaded BaseCamp but is that only useful if you plan to buy garmin maps?

Thanks for any help.
