Scott just wanted to shout out a big thanks. TopoFusion wins again as a favorite tool for editing GPS tracks.

I'm working on documentation of a new trail for Central Oregon Tail Alliance(COTA) that is soon going out to bid. We have several tracks of the proposed route.

Looking at tools to average the multiple tracks was frustrating most solutions involve using the scripting language R or just drawing a line by hand.  Until I saw a reference to http://topofusion.com/network.php

Played around with Make Network tweaked Contraction Strength and done!!

Thanks!

Thanks Scott
I just learned about it myself. Works great if you can stand using basecamp. ;)

Feature Requests / Waypoint Proximity setting
« on: November 18, 2016, 11:49:45 AM »
Hi Scott,
Is the any chance you could add the ability to set the proximity extension when editing waypoints like you can in Basecamp. In Basecamp you edit the waypoints properties set the distance in ft or mi.
Attached is a waypoint I created in basecamp with it set.

Thanks

Thanks Scott,
Maps load, yet as you zoom in they popup the mapquest logo.at 1:4.00 no logo then at 1:2.52 logo.
Goto find address/city still does not work.

I'll work with it more tomorrow to see if I'm missing something.

Thanks

TopoFusion Pro / Etrex 30 Download tracks w/SD card installed
« on: October 24, 2015, 03:19:52 PM »
Hi Scott,
When you have a SD card installed with a Garmin/GPX directory the ability to select another director "..." box is missing . So the only way to get to your "saved tracks" is to pull the SD card or use explore. Can the "..." box be added to the menus when the SD card is in?

The Garmin saves tracks to its Garmin/GPX director it won't save to the SD card. When I'm out in the field I like the ability to upload new tracks to the garmin from my phone. If the SD card is installed when it is plugged into my Android phone I can only see the SD card, I use the SD card for my maps. So I have a Garmin/GPX folder I can upload tracks to. Then when I'm back at home I have to pull the SD card to get to any tracks recorded in the field and remember to reinstall the sd card before heading back out.

Thanks

Feature Requests / Re: Any interest in CalTopo Tiles?
« on: May 03, 2014, 11:42:32 AM »
Thanks Scott,
That's a bummer as the FS maps are the most accurate I've found for Oregon.
Is there a way to use GeoPDF files, Or do I need to use User Maps and manual calibrate?

I'll second this request Scott,
The USFS overlay is much better for road information than Mytopo for Oregon coverage.

TopoFusion Pro / Re: Reverse Profile total climb zeroed
« on: August 16, 2013, 10:14:33 AM »
Thanks Scott.
I was stripping time what seemed to do it was using the Climbing Analysis and turning off checking for moving time. Not sure why that would make a difference if the time data was not there unless it thinks I'm stopped so there is no elevation change.

It happens on 32bit as well.
If I edit a track for instance cut one leg of a loop save it as a new gpx it shows the correct total climbing and decent info yet when I try to reverse the direction it zeros out.

Interesting installed on Win 7 Ultimate SP1 32bit and it works correctly.

If I use the merge track tool to reverse last segment the total climbing and total descent go to 0ft when this gets merged with another track the total climbing is just that of the track that had no modification BUT the new track has the total distance of the two merged tracks.

TopoFusion Pro / User Map calibration interface bug
« on: June 06, 2012, 07:47:41 PM »
Running ver 4.5 on win7
I have this issue that happens when I try to calibrate a user map.
I have three user maps loaded only the second one in the list is checked on when I select the Calibrate Point button either 1 2 or 3 the third map gets checked on. It does not seem to effect the third map when I go ahead and calibrate map #2 but it is a bit disconcerting and I have to go check the third map when I'm done. I really don't want to take the chance of messing up a already calibrated map.

Ok just tried it with map 1 checked maps 2 and 3 unchecked. click Calibrate Point and map 2 gets checked on. So maps 1 and 2 are checked.

Thanks

-gary
