Some requests
« on: May 06, 2012, 05:06:05 AM »
Hi, I'm a pro user from Europe and would wish that there where more maps that also cover Europe.

Here are some interesting maps based on OSM, maybe it's possible to integrate one or the other:
http://www.openmapsurfer.uni-hd.de/
Uses shading + height lines from the more accurate ASTER GDEM mission (that would be a improvement to the hill-shading that Topo Fusion uses currently)

Some other interesting maps based on OSM:
http://osmapa.pl/
http://hikebikemap.de/
http://www.4umaps.eu/4umap.htm
(I've found them using this list: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/List_of_OSM_based_Services )

Another thing: what I've noticed, when I compare the OSM on the Internet browser with the display in Topo Fusion, the display in TopoFusion seems to be a bit distorted/stretched horizontally and thus a bit unsharp. Why is this so, is it possible to correct this?

I do love the multiplayback - would it be possible to use auto zoom and auto follow of the multi playback in the 3D view as well?

Maybe it's also possible to add a full screen mode eg. for multiplayback?

Thanks for the great software!

Now I've found out why the open street map is stretched horizontally in TopoFusion:
TopoFusion seems to use WGS-84 wit the EPSG 4326 projection, OpenStreetMap uses the Mercator projection where a perfect circle building would appear as a perfect circle on the map as well.

Is there (will there be) any possibility to switch between the projection methods in TopoFusion?
