Seachable "Wiki" based documentation
« on: May 29, 2009, 01:30:59 PM »
I was just looking for documentation online and didn't really have any idea what category my questions for printing would fall under.  the ability to "seach" in documentation would be nice.  A wiki lends itself to this quite nicely.

While I am here, is there a way in TF to set up a map for printing at a page size of your choosing?  It just wants to print exactly what is on the screen and it doesn't even fill an 8.5 x 11 page.  The Nat Geo TOPO program has a nice map setup feature for those wishing to print a paper copy of a map, and it allows you to set it up at various sizes, not only 8.5 x 11, but Tabloid and Poster or E size as well, all while retaining the scalle and detail you choose in the map itself.

No, there is only limited print functionality in TF right now.  My recommendation is to use the (well developed) export function to get a high res image, then use image software to print and force it to fit on a certain size of paper.

A wiki might make a lot of sense.  Otherwise google with a topofusion.com filter might be the best way since all the info isn't on the main manual page.
