Batch download along path

Instead of dragging a rectangle to define the batch download area, how about specifying a GPX path and width that defines what should be downloaded?

Great idea.  Using a track to define it would make it pretty easy.

To some extent this is already in place. I have done it by simply using "playback" of a recorded track. All that is necessary is selecting the appropriate "speed" and viewing scale. Of course that may not provide a download region that is "wide" enough as the view moves along the track.
And it does seem to require a track with sufficient time data to allow the track to be followed.

But it would  be interesting to be able to insert time data into a track to simulate some fixed speed. Sort of the inverse of determining the speed at any given segment from recorded data.

Hi Scott I'll second BenPeart's request for batch download along a track.
