Title: Some fixes - v3.72
Post by: ScottMorris on February 25, 2009, 07:32:49 PM
There's a new beta out with a number of minor fixes and tweaks, mostly for specific users of the software.

Get it in the usual place:

And please let us know if you experience any problems with it.  With any luck, there should be less problems in this version!   ;)

3.72 – [2/25/09]  (Beta)

Fixed bearing giving 88.7 degrees when drawing tracks
Fixed issue with coordinate type not being preserved upon placing a waypoint
Fixed issue reading self ending ‘link’ tags in GPX files from Mapsource
Added heartrate and cadence to .CSV export
Fixed crash loading bogus HTML files as GPX
Fixed profile clipping with Windows large (120 DPI) font
Fixed Overflow #6 error in Profile Window
Added check for erroneous global elevation values (causing elevation shading
   to not work
Fixed crash when aborting a GPS transfer
Fixed double profile problem with “Horizontal Shading” setting
(only apparent with multiple tracks loaded – large elevation ranges)
Cosmetic changes to Simplify and GPS dialog – dialog type and tab ordering
(GPS dialog now defaults to “Begin” button)
INSTALLER – demo install no longer overwrites (resets) maps.dat and mapindex.dat

One thing that I have experienced with the two latest beta versions is, when I am zoomed in extremely close and try to navigate with the arrow keys is the map always moves down regardless of which arrow key I use.  When I zoom out a little the arrow keys navigate as expected

Hmm.  Where abouts in the world are you?  Not far north (AK or CAN?) are you?  Also, which tileset?

I'm located in Southern Utah and it happens with all of the tile sets but only when zoomed in really close

Hey Scott, I just tried this and I also get a goofy response, but on my machine the map moves up with both the up and down arrow keys. Also left arrow key makes the map move up and to the right, while the right arrow key moves the map up and to the left. Very strange.

Thanks guys.  This one was a bit of a stumper, but I finally figured out what introduced it and got it fixed.

There's a new beta, 3.73 out right now with the fix.
