Title: Edge 705 no communication

Running version 3.32:  Topo says unable to initialize COM/USB.  Hints on making it work?   Training Center reads tracks OK.  Garmin Communicator OK.  Substitute Edge 305 on same cable and it works, so that kills "other programs" warning.

Right, TF won't recognize a 705.  You have to drag and drop the .tcx files into TF to get them to load.

I guess we'll have to write some code to just grab the points from the usual place on the "removable hard drive" that shows up, since it'll be easier.

I'm having the same problem, but drag-and-drop isn't working for me.  The device's history files are .tcx.  Is this my problem?  If so, what do I do next?

Mike,

Loading .tcx files should work.  Which version do you have?  If you haven't updated for a while .tcx capability wasn't there.

Upgrade to the latest (full version, not beta) -- v3.51 now supports direct download from Edge 705 units.

Edit - I just noticed that you purchased the Basic version of TopoFusion, which does not support .TCX files or direct downloading.  

Can you email us at support@topofusion.com and we can see about getting you an upgrade.
