I haven't download and tried it yet, but is the nudging tool that is in v2.77 move the entire map or just a tile.
If the entire map, that could be a problem for areas that are in the right place...

It does the whole map -- but only for a single tileset.  So other tilesest won't be effected.

It will still cause errors in that tileset in places where the map is correct.  But it's easy to toggle on and off in the dialog.

"deluxe" version would allow you to define lat/lon square for the correction -- and let you apply multiple at the same time, so it automatically fixes.

This is a step in the right direction, though.  As soon as people contribute their corrections as presets, it'll become even more useful.

I am assuming the nudging tool adjusts the tile set, not the elevation data. Where I am located (Albuquerque, NM) I am finding that the map tile sets are spot on accurate, but the 3-D is just a little bit off. If I try to nudge the tile set, it just thrown the track off of the map. It is most noticable at 2 and 4 M topo. I estimate that the elevation data is about 25 meters south of the Map and GPS Data. How is the best way to check and verify what the offset is and is there a way you can fix it? you mention contributing corrections, how is that done? What's the best way to verify corrections?

That's right, the nudge factor does not effect elevation data.  Tracks will stay put, so if you want to use tracks and map overlayed on 3D, there isn't a good solution at this point.  If you turn tracks off you can use the current corrections dialog to adjust for the error in the elevation data (just the reverse of it).

The corrections done so far are just "eye-balled" -- hopefully using a known, surveyed spot.  There's no really good way to verify them other than by sight.

I don't think it would be too hard to add "3D models" to the dropdown for corrections.  I'll see what I can do.

Thanks.

Cool. It is just enough of an error to be noticable.

Just a question, have you noticed wheter or not an error on one set of tiles is seen across all of the different tile setd for a given area. I have not quire been able to determine this, but All of the tile sets for the Albuquerque NM area seem to be spot on.

Krein - I saw in another post that someone else was having the same problem and you suggested trying the Always download (US Only) option. Well I tried that and everythign is now spot on. I didn't realize you were getting two different sets of data with the two options for download. Thanks.

Ah, good point.  The world dataset is not as accurate and definitely lower resolution.  Thanks for writing in on the fix!
