PHOTOFUSION-NEW TRACK WITH OLD PHOTOS?
« on: December 31, 2006, 07:28:39 PM »
Just got a GPS and rode a favorite mt. bike trail. I downloaded it to TF and wanted to add some old jpeg photos of the same ride.  These photos have time stamps from two years ago.  Any way I can use these photos or is that just too much time off set to deal with?

If you compute the number of hours to offset two years, then it will work just fine.

It would be a positive GMT offset, and remember to subtract 7 hours (or whatever your timezone offset is).

So:

24*365*2 (years) = number of hours in 2 years (supposing it was exactly 2 years off) = 17520 hours

then subtract 7 = 17513:00:00

Of course pictures won't be in the right place unless you rode at the EXACT same speed as the ride that you took the pics on.

If you check out the new beta there have been significant changes to photofusion, making it so you can just add pictures manually.

Thanks for the reply, Krein.  I will check out the beta.  I think I will also just do another ride with my camera and gps.  That would be the really fun solution.

Thanks again
