Leave the "moderator approved" message up longer
« on: May 07, 2007, 07:04:32 AM »
Sorry about the double post, the "post is in, will be moderator approved" went by too quick.

When I didn't see it pop up in the forum list, a closer look let me see what the issue was.

Leave that message up about 10 seconds before it pops, or remove the auto-bounce back to the forum--give us a chance to read it, then make us click "return to forum"

No worries on the double post, and thanks for the feedback on the process.  We just enacted the 'moderator approve' status (for the 'General Support' forum only) due to the amount of bot-spam it's getting.

We're looking for completely new board software that should alleviate this issue.

I'll see if I can make the message show up for longer.

Further analysis:  It's between 2-3 seconds now.  Even 5 would be better.

Yeah, it looks like you're doing it now--that last message popped up for just 1 second or less!

Haven't been able to find any setting for how long it stays active.  Still looking though.  This forum software is not very well organized.

Sorry about the confusion its causing.
