Differing Waypoint Colors
« on: February 23, 2005, 02:55:18 PM »
Hey, i have two questions.

My first: do you guys have a newer version of Topofusion as of 2/20/05?  I thought i registered to get email updates but maybe i am wrong.  If so, can I upgrade, and how do i go about doing that?

My second, more important question: We have a piece of land where we are going to do some building.  We have different colored waypoints to represent different things ie green-vineyards, red-structure, etc.  I have my four different catergories set seperately to load onto my map as i choose.  However, even though I saved one group of waypoints as a certain color, if I upload them on our map, those waypoints will change color depending on what the waypoint color in the preferences is set to.  To make a long story short, can i have multiple colored waypoints on a map, is there a way so they don't all synchronize into the same color?

Thanks for your time, and I hope you can help,
Ashley

Hi Ashley,

1) We haven't sent out the update email yet.  We're giving it a few days to make sure there aren't any glaring errors in the version before we send out the email to such a long list of folks.

You can upgrade, however, by following the download instructions in the registration email you got after purchasing.  Or send us email if you lost that email.

2) Sadly, no, there is no way to display different colors for waypoints.  The dot and text are always the same across all waypoints.  If you're producing a map to print you could export and then modify the colors using photoshop.  Not as clean of a solution but it's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

Thanks.
