Garmin 60CS waypoints won't download

I have never been able to DL waypoints from my 60CS.  I don't have any problem DLing tracks the way some users do.  I get the message "Error reading from GPS, check connection, GPS type, and baud rate. (See Options->Preferences)"  I have Preferences set to USB & Garmin.  I'm using Topofusion 2.18 (2.17 did the same), and 60CS software version 3.50.

Any idea what's the problem or how to fix it?

That's strange since it works on my 60CS and (as far as I know) always has.

The only conclusion I can come to is that there is something inconsistent with our USB code.  It works for some people on some things and not for others.  I'm trying to work out what the problem is this week.
