GeoReferenced Photos
« on: September 06, 2005, 06:00:21 PM »
Is it possible to create GeoReferenced photos via waypoints? I've only just dl'd the demo and haven't explored it fully, but from what I've seen thus far, it *appears* current functionality requires a 'track' to georeference pics.(??)

This is what I would like to do......
Create a waypoint. And within the Properties of that waypoint, be able to manually input a timestamp (for my needs, day/month/yr would probably suffice), and add a photo. Add as many waypoints as I choose to a given map area, and then generate the image map.

If this is not doable currently, I'd L-O-V-E to see this functionality added in a future version.......primarily because it would allow the user to georeference a lifetime of pics if they so chose. Though we may not be able to *absolutely* pinpoint exact date/time or exact location, it might be good enough to just have as little as a month/yr for the timestamp and then place a waypoint on say......., a city for the location.

Does that make sense?

Thanks!

Hi,

Sorry, the only way to do georeferences photos is with tracklogs.  When we update the PhotoFusion feature the photos will behave more like waypoints that you can move around, change the image, etc.

Thanks for the suggestions.
