Fall can continue like this (warm!) for as long as it wants. I can’t stay inside. The sun feels too good.
Trails call out at me from all sides of town. Where do you want to go today?
Here’s a few pics from the last 2 weeks of Tucson riding. Lots of good folks to share the trails with.
Tim does his best to blend in with the saguaros. This is brand spanking new trail at Robles. Currently an out and back, but looking like a very nice addition to the trail system.
Tim keeps calling me on Fridays. Want to ride? Let’s see, 80’s, no wind. You’re offering to show me new trails? Perfect, I’ll ride across town and see you in an hour.
The ride back is after dusk, when the absence of sun is still a welcome thing. In November!
Sometimes the sunsets are worth lookin’ at. Too bad I’m riding east to get back from Starr Pass!!
I worship at the bike church.
Scouting new trail near Casa Grande with Mr. Flint. We found some cool existing trail (above), but most of it will have to be re-routed (ridiculously steep).
Chad going huge on Bug Springs. As if he ever goes small.
Rhymes with witch-back bladdack.
Ty on Milagrosa’s gauntlet.
Tim on a goat trail below Cat Mountain. I believe he went OTB on a goofy spot just before the pic.
Chad, Krista and Todd, heading back on the 50. Welcome to Tucson, guys!
Heading to Robles with Lee.
Always trust Lee’s sniffer when it comes to finding good food, especially mid-ride. Taqueria El Joe = big $4 burritos, oh yeah.
Threading the saguaros on our way back to Starr Pass.
