Our JCDL paper on Digital Trail libraries is finally done and turned in. The revisions were excessive, and I grew tired of it long ago. The deadline extension of ~5 days was an unfortunate one, this time. But in the end the paper is better for it.

Woke at 5:15a to head out to Steve Anderson’s place on my new commuter bike. It took a solid hour to get out there. Then another long drive out to the actual trail.
I GPS’d a mile or two of trail in this area last spring, now we were scratching in and GPS’ing another 4.5 miles of Arizona trail. It was a nice overcast morning, perfect for rambling around in the desert.
The man behind Fantasy Island, Chuck Boyer, was there, so the conversation was interesting. Talking to Steve with his body slamming of developers is always classic too.
After riding back from Steve’s house, it turned into a long day. I was home a little after 2pm.
Later in the evening my Xmas present from Hottie arrived, after sitting in a warehouse for two weeks due to shipping error. It was huge…. a Pinball machine. Let the addiction begin.
