I finally got a camera worth a crap. Took a loop on the local suburbo trails and grabbed a few test shots.
That’s Baboquivari Peak, some 60 miles away.
Been trying to take shots of the moon for years with my various digitals. Finally! That’s with no tripod and it wasn’t even dark yet.
Yep, pretty happy with it.
I was also collecting power data on the ride. Can’t believe I hit 664 watts on what I usually think of as a mellow ride. Unfortunately my little yellow PT CPU doesn’t want to download the data for me, so I still haven’t combined power + GPS. Soon enough, though.
Lee and I are taking advantage of a primo 3 day weather window. Heading to this area (note the “AZT under const. here” waypoint):
To explore new AZT and a few reroutes for the AZT 300 and AZT network. Not to mention general touristing and singletrack revelry.

Another enquiring mind wants to know your camera model. One that can take that good of a pic of the moon and is still a point and shoot easily portable on rides?! Wow!

It’s not super small (and won’t come along when racing, I got a smaller one for that), but it fits in my old camera’s shoulder strap case. Still pretty “point and shoot” portable. Has manual mode for focus, f-stop, etc.
Pretty cheap for what it is, too.
