I like the fact that I won't have to buy a new GPS to record temperature. They will probably start incorporating them within the GPS units going forward I would think.
I believe most, if not all, GPS devices already have a temperature sensor built in. On several Garmin units I have had, the temperature could be read on the hidden diagnostic screen that is accessible via some "secret handshake" combination of buttons. The shame is that they don't provide user access to this sensor as normal "data."
How big is that? It looks kind of small to me, like about the size of a USB flash drive.
That sounds like a reasonable description. The specs of the foot pod read 1.8" x 1"
It's probably takes a ubiquitous CR2032 battery so is not much bigger than that.
