Title: Elevation Server Error
Post by: colprit on June 29, 2008, 03:22:25 PM
I recently switched to a new computer running Vista. I'm getting an error message concerning the elevation server.

When I select "Correct Elevations" in the Run Analysis, an error message comes up saying "Could not connect to the elevation server, it may be busy, try again later".

Any ideas on this?

Yup - Nasa server is not currently serving 3D data.

:(

There's a topic in the announcements forum about it.

Should be back Jul 1.

Thanks. Since the server must have gone down during my transfer to Vista, I wasn't sure if it was an OS problem.

Forgot to mention: When I do select "correct elevations", the tile switches to Land Sat, which is annoying. Can this be fixed?

Hmm, it's supposed to switch back, but it probably errors out first.

Wait until the server is back, then it will just change briefly, and change back.

It's not a bad idea to change back even with an error, though.  Thanks.

Back up.
