USGS Aerials
« on: April 28, 2015, 09:10:29 AM »
Hello Scott,
I'm getting black/blank tiles from the USGS aerials (U) but not everywhere, just in one location so far.
Go to 31 47 40 N  /  110 44 55 W. It is the Madera Canyon region in Green Valley AZ.
Move around you you'll see what I mean. I'm not sure but it appears that a horizontal band of tiles are missing.
Thanks,
Roger

Hi Roger,

Thanks for the note.

I'm seeing good response from the server on my end.  But coverage for the USGS aerials has never been complete.  I would guess that sometimes the coverage varies as they change what's available on the server.

I think it's supposed to be better imagery near urban areas.

Best,

Scott
