I am in the process of buying a replacement GPS unit and have been leaning towards the Delorme PN-40. I was looking my installation of TopoFusion Pro and did not see an option for Delorme GPS units . . . . . does anyone know if they can be connected and manage waypoints / information as I was able to on my Magellan?
Thanks in advance

Sorry, there is no native support for any of the Delorme PN-xx units in TopoFusion. I own a PN-30, but the protocol spec is so complicated that other features and enhancements to the software are more worth my time.
I recommend using TopoUSA to download, then export as GPX to TopoFusion.

The primary use I am making of TopoFusion is to bring in old maps in a digital format and obtain GPS coordinates for specific locations and then go to it.
I guess I can still get the coordinates after calibrating an old map and than manually import them into the PN-40. The thing I liked about the PN-40 is the unlimited download of images from Delorme.

I prefer my Dakota 20 to the PN-30, but I haven't ponied up for the subscription service to get unlimited images from Delorme. I prefer the unlimited free raster map ability in the Garmin units -- no restrictions on what I can upload, and with TF you can even upload user maps.
