Combo View
« on: May 26, 2020, 07:40:27 AM »
Hi,

This morning I was working on some maps.  I have been using the MyTopo and NZ map in the combo view, which gives me most of the information I need.  As I'm looking at the screen, the map changes color slightly.  Then a crash dialog pops up.  Not knowing what yet had happened, I just dismissed the crash dialog.  Once that was gone, I noticed that some of the combined features were not showing on my map.  I opened the dialog for the combo view and after a moment of clicking around, I realize that there is only one map showing in the combo view.  NOTHING I click on will make it show two combined maps.  Not event the presets.  I can now only show one single map at a time.  I've closed the program and opened it back up again, but the combo view still doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Well.....nevermind.  I turned it off for about an hour and when I turned it back on, it was working again.

Hi,

It is possible that the "blend" slider bar in the Combo dialog is pulled fully to one side or another so that only one shows.  If you hit the 'reset' button in that dialog it should come back.

I see the crash report from panning and downloading tiles, thank-you.  I am working on tracking that new one down and have another user that reported it too.

The crash shouldn't be related to Combo from what I know right now.

Thanks!

I think, somehow, it is related in some way, maybe?  Everytime that crash happened from  panning the map (it did it several more times when panning, as you say), I would have to re-enable combo view from the drop down box on the top right.  It would, in effect, turn off combo view, as if I had used that drop down box to choose a single map.

This crash when panning/downloading should be fixed now in v5.71 just released.  It is only a minor update mostly to fix that crash.  Thanks!
