SEPARATING HIKING AND BIKING FILES FOR ANALYSIS
« on: April 30, 2010, 01:45:48 PM »
I just added biking to my TopoFusion logging.  I wish to separate the two for different analysis reports.  Has anyone any suggestions as how to achieve this?

I'm thinking I need to set up different topo files (one My.....Biking, and one My....Hiking) files.

Any input will be appreciated!

Thanks,

Jim

Hi,

Unfortunately there's no way (yet) to get statistics per activity type in the logbook.  That is what you are asking about, right?  For example, looking at your total mileage or climbing in a month?

You are right that you could combine all your GPX/TCX files for biking into one file and then do some analysis using other parts of TopoFusion.  This would be a way to get some summary statistics, but it would be a little tedious for sure.

Per activity stats is definitely on the 'todo' list.  Thanks for the note.

Thanks Scott, I do want to run the stats for either the biking or the hiking.  I'm goimg to try to "fudge" the file names a little and see what happens.

I'll keep you posted as to any success (or failure)!!!

Thanks again,

Jim
