Australia Topo not downloading

Hi,

I've got the demo version of Pro 3.74. I've been playing around with it for a couple of months and am likely to buy a copy soon. I've just had to rebuild my PC as it crashed on me severely. I've completely re-installed TF, but now the AUS Topos won't download.

My question is how can I tell if my settings for CAN/AUS Topo are correct? Landsat and every other tileset download properly, I've tried to see if the server is down, but can't really tell.

Sorry for the late reply on this.  I was on the trail this weekend, away from the computer.

I'm not getting AUS topos, but I think it's a server issue.  The server is giving a response, but here's what it looks like:

I'll see if there's any info on the server itself.  For now I'm assuming it'll be fixed and work again soon.

Yep, I think the server is having issues.  Here's a link to the direct browser for the maps:

http://mapconnect.ga.gov.au/MapConnect/

The browser comes up, but no maps display for me.  I'm sure it'll be up again soon.  I didn't see any notices of downtime or anything.

Hello again,

I've been checking TF every couple of days to see of the problem has sorted itself,The Mapconnect website is showing maps, but still no joy for me.

I'm not in any rush, just thought that I'd bring a potential problem to your attention.

An update on this:

They changed something on the server, so version 3.74 still won't be able to download new maps.

I've fixed it, and version 3.75 (beta) will be released soon with the fix.  Thanks for the patience with this.  Check the beta forum for announcement of 3.75, and I'll try to post here as well.

Sorry to be a pain, is there a temporary work around until the next version is released? a Custom WMS server? I tried using the sample on the GA site, but was unsuccessful, even after playing around with it

If you are a registered user there is a beta available with the fix.  Otherwise let me know and I can send you the updated request string to use as a custom WMS.

Update to this issue:

I've been playing around with the string Scott sent me. I was having issues that when I zoomed in all I got was a pixellated Landsat Image. What I've done has been to move the LandsatMosaic layer to between Mainlands and CartographicLines. It seems that the later in the string the layer, the closer to the surface it will display. The landsat image was blocking out all other layers.

I'm assuming that the string is also used in 3.80 as it does the same thing.
