I'm trying to download a map to my Garmini Edge 305 and not having much luck. I'm fairly new to this so I'm sure there is something that I'm not doing. I have downloaded csr.tcx files, but have had no luck with .gpx files. thanks for your help

You are trying to upload a GPS file to your Edge 305? Just want to check because in TF the terminology is that you upload to your GPS and download *from* it.
This matters because you need to select the right option in the GPS dialog. "Upload track", and "to saved tracks / courses."
There shouldn't be any difference uploading a tcx or gpx file in TopoFusion. What error are you getting?

Yes, you are most correct. I'm trying to "upload" a map to my 305. It comes back as a arror message the the file is not recognized. I safed the map to my desktop and then tried uploading it to my GPS with no luck.
P.S I also sent you a e-mail concerning this.

Got your email and sent a reply.
Which version of Topofusion are you using? Pro or Basic, and what version number?

I should also note that I'm not using TF software, but the software that came with my Garmin which is "Garmin Training Center"
It's just the map I'm trying to load to my garmin is a Topofusion map?

Oh, OK. You probably need to convert the GPX file to a "course" inside training center. I've done it before, but it's been a while.
Honestly, it's a lot easier to do this in TopoFusion. Download the Pro demo version, install and follow the instructions I sent you. You should get it as a course with very little trouble.
