Title: Downloading partial tracks from a larger track to my Garmin

I have a gpx track for a race that I am doing. the total track is around 375 miles but I want to just download sections of the track for pre race riding. I used the cutting tool and was able to separate it into a track on its own and label it but I cannot download just the one section to my Garmin.

375, must be the Stagecoach.  ;)

What I would do is just load the whole thing on there, then in case you're feeling frisky you can do more...

Seriously it's just as easy to get the whole thing as it is to get parts.  This should help:

If you cut out one piece you'll just need to delete everything else (right click on the track in the map and choose "delete segment"), then save out to a new file, and follow the same tutorial as above.

I tried but on the download there are so many points that things get truncated and a bunch of weird files show up. I tried to cut and then delete everything else and save it and then download it but it doesn't take.

Now that I looked at the tutorial (I hate doing that!) things make more sense so I will give that a go.

Not sometimes, it is always helpful and safe to read instructions before!
