Title: Choosing maps in drop down
Post by: bwinters on September 24, 2011, 05:43:13 AM
Hi folks,

First post.  I'm playing with the free version and am having trouble selecting between maps in the drop down box.  When I click on the box it opens quickly, selects the map the cursor happens to be on and closes automatically.  The "selected" map then displays.  I can force it to leave the drop down list open by clicking on the DD box several times and holding the mouse, then scroll down to my prefered map and let go of the mouse button.  Doesn't seem right.

Any ideas?

BTW: running it on a Dell Vostro laptop running 64 bit Win 7 Pro

Yeah, that doesn't sound like the intended behavior.  It's probably the fact that the dropdown is scrolling on a screen that is too small.  I'll try it on my netbook.

Try the "map" menu as a workaround.  It should  have shortcuts to all the major map types, and less choices since the different zoom levels aren't spelled out.  Learn the keyboard shortcuts, too, they are quite handy for flipping between map types.

I'll see if I can figure anything out on the scrolling drop down.  Thanks for the post.
