hey why not also display "higher" tilesets underneath "lower" ones while they are loading? then one could stilll browse around while the higer resolution images are loading.

it looks like this is already on the todo list, the ability to overlay other images as map sets.  i could have SWORN this program already had that functionality.  am i thinking of another app?

i think it would be really excellent if there were a national [heck, global!] basemap that sat underneath all of the tiles and could be seen when zoomed all the way out.  that would make it much easier to maybe check out other states or locate cities.  i personally would prefer a simple map [state borders, major cities, maybe rivers] that would show through instead of the "downloading" tiles.

for awhile there, i was using topofusion (1.49) and loving it, and then one day it just wouldnt start, giving the same error on every load :

Exception: Access Violation, in InitIndexFile

uninstall reinstall, nothing.
uninstall reinstall new version (1.52), nothing.

i'm sorely missing this program and am definitely looking forward to the new version with 3D rendering (ive seen this in some other program but never managed to dig up the right data to use it)

anyway, any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
keep up the good work, let me know if you need any beta testers.
