Just an FYI since it appears this is not possible with TF but I found "GPS Track Editor" which, among a lot of other functionality, lets you simply rename the files while browsing.  It is not an ideal workflow but it allowed me to get the job done.

I'm trying to use TF to browse a directory of GPX files and rename the files adding a description, etc. to the names.

When I rename a file it doesn't just rename the file, it seems to resave the file which loses some of the original information in the file, the most important being the actual creator of the file.

Is it possible to rename the file without rewriting it?

Thanks,

TopoFusion Pro / Re: View parameter files - .tfv
« on: June 23, 2013, 07:12:48 PM »
I've updated to the latest version but am still seeing the old behavior.

Should this work now?  If not please consider adding it.

Thanks,
David

TopoFusion Pro / View parameter files - .tfv
« on: August 20, 2012, 06:57:58 PM »
In Windows 7 I associated TopoFusion with the view parameter files (.tfv files).

When I have TF open and I double-click on a .tfv file the TF view is changed appropriately.  If TF is not open and I double-click on a .tfv file TF is opened but the view remains from the last session - it does not change to what was saved in the .tfv file.

Is this something that can be fixed by modifying the association (does anyone have it working?) or do I need to make a feature request for TF?

Thanks,

Archived Support / Installation issue
« on: January 13, 2007, 07:42:24 AM »
I just installed the demo (version 2.97) last night.  Everything seemed to be OK with the installation but when I start  TopoFusion an installation dialog for "Microsoft Platform SDK" starts up.

It fails (because it wants me to insert a disk) and when I finally manage to cancel it TopoFusion starts up and seems to operate correctly.

Does anyone know whats going on?

Thank you for your help,

Archived Support / Scaled down version available?
« on: January 31, 2005, 10:37:03 PM »
Have you guys considered selling a scaled down version that does the track averaging (networking) without the mapping, terraserver, etc?

I'm very interested in that function but don't need the other functionality - I already have software that covers the other stuff....

Thanks,
