I get the "unable to display" tileset with the color tileset, but I know it used to show up when it was first introduced. In fact, it isn't even showing up in the available tilesets and I'm using Version 3.97

Maybe in the next update you can allow users to create their own presets. I don't believe we need "big Brother's" permission.

x offset = 10
y offset = 8

Wish I could use the urban maps here.

From the properties window, it seems to be adding a waypoint instead of editing it.

From the File Properties window, Right Click on the Waypoint, choose edit, Under name, change the name, i.e. from 7.00 mi to 6.30 mi....... Although I go through the process, it doesn't change, it stays 7.00 mi.

If I Right Click on the waypoint on the map, it seems to work.

I updated to Topofusion 3.41 and found the new version won't let me edit the waypoints.  '<img'>

TopoFusion Pro / Elevation Server Error
« on: June 29, 2008, 03:30:12 PM »
Thanks. Since the server must have gone down during my transfer to Vista, I wasn't sure if it was an OS problem.

Forgot to mention: When I do select "correct elevations", the tile switches to Land Sat, which is annoying. Can this be fixed?

TopoFusion Pro / Elevation Server Error
« on: June 29, 2008, 03:22:25 PM »
I recently switched to a new computer running Vista. I'm getting an error message concerning the elevation server.

When I select "Correct Elevations" in the Run Analysis, an error message comes up saying "Could not connect to the elevation server, it may be busy, try again later".

Any ideas on this?

I spent some time checking out SportTracks http://www.zonefivesoftware.com/SportTracks/index.html

In this program, you can choose to view the same maps as in TopoFusion, but also you can choose "World Maps" which are Google maps. So why is it this can't be implemented into TopoFusion? Just curious!

Archived Support / Grade & Climbing elevation excessive
« on: April 22, 2006, 07:58:55 AM »
With the Forerunner 205, I'm noticing the grade and climbing elevations seem to be excessive. On one of my courses, with the 201 it indicated an uphill grade of 5.5%, the 205 indicates a grade of 14.0%. The 5.5% grade is more believeable.

Same course, the 201 shows a climbing elevation of 426 ft and the 205 shows 716 ft.

ALSO... When downloading from the 205, the "follow download in map" doesn't work.

Archived - Feedback and Comments / Motion Based
« on: April 19, 2006, 08:26:41 AM »
With my Forerunner 205 came the option of using Motion Based Lite for free. I decided to check it out so I uploaded 4 courses I had run.

All the courses pace and distance were way off. The elevation seemed fairly accurate. Their maps suck, not impressive at all. Their site was incredibly slow, like I have all day to analyze the information on my runs ''

I honestly can't believe people would use Motion Based if they knew they have an option. I know I will not waste my time with it.

Thanks for developing TF. '<img'>

Archived Support / Garmin 305 Data transfer problem
« on: April 17, 2006, 08:11:17 PM »
I am using the 205. Unlike the 201, I found you need to reset the 205 before you can transfer the data, otherwise it says the memory is empty.

Hope this helps.

This topic has been mentioned before, but I too would like to see newer map data available in TF.

Is there a possibility of this?

Archived Support / Forerunner 205 & TF
« on: April 14, 2006, 06:19:47 PM »
I received my Forerunner 205 last Monday and have been running with it all week. The signal is so much better than the 201 ever was. I even have a signal inside my house.

When I first uploaded the info from the Forerunner 205 to TF, It said the memory was empty. This is when I realized you need to hit the reset button first. Once doing this the info uploaded very quickly.

When comparing the 205 track to a previous track using the 201, I was really impressed with how smooth it was, not zagged like the 201 alway was. I had the 205 set to post a track point every second. The points exactly followed the path I ran, even when I moved to the far side of the path or road due to traffic, it showed exactly on the map. Awesome!

If you are questioning whether you can justify upgrading to the Forerunner 205 or 305, just do it, you won't be sorry.

Is there an easy way in TopoFusion to find out information on the maps displayed?

On the TerraServer site, I found the aerial maps of my area were captured 9/3/1998

The online manual shows the GPS communications screen with 3 choices; merge active log to single track, download saved tracks and merge saved tracks + active log to single track. I only get two options; follow download in map and add tracks to logbook. Why?

Also, is there a way to just download the active log?
