using version 3.32..just opened up that file again, the second column says 'no time data' and all the other columns are "...."

so when you opened this file, all the time calculations appear?

nick is talking about a garmin unit right? not magellan.  before i learned how to save a tracklog with my magellan explorist, i brought it home with the active tracklog and tried to upload to the computer with TF just like i always do with my magellan sportrack.  but it wouldn't work.  in fact, there is a couple lines of text in the gps dialog box in TF that says you have to save the track on the explorist unit, then you can simply open the file.

so is what your saying also take place on the magellan: that after saving active tracklog, all the timestamps are stripped away so the data is just X,Y,Z?

so then, maybe there is a way to upload the active track from an explorist so the time calcs show up and everything, like the sportrack

i've been using TF with a magellan sportrack for several years now.
i like getting the time information like how long the track is, max and min speeds, up and down time, etc.  but i recently go a magellan explorist.  took the unit for a test ride on my bike today.  figured out you have to save the tracklog into a file in order for TF to open it.  so up comes the track but there is all this missing data, you know this calculated file information.  hard to believe that the unit would not be saving this timestamp information like the older unit.  am i doing something wrong here?

thanks

Archived Support / downloading track from Magellan with 3.0
« on: February 17, 2007, 09:44:25 PM »
i loaded up version 3.0 just fine...this was my first time using 3.0 to download a track...it would not work and in fact the program just shuts down completely...yes, all the correct gps setting were made on the program and the unit....i had to use another piece of software to download the track, then open the gpx file with TF.

i have a Magellan Sportrak Map, it worked just fine with all the older version of TF

Please help me.

Printing.  I want TF to be better at printing, more options for how the screen is printed
