(toposm.com) This is hands down the best looking display of OSM data I have found yet - check it out.
Any chance of including them in a future version?

Those are nice maps indeed.

Looks like they may be adding data from other sources... I will look into whether they have a tile service and the terms of use.  Thanks for the link!

An addition of "Add TMS custom servers" would be very nice.
So one could add a custom OSM map, like a custom WMS Server.
In JOSM, an open street map editor, both custom WMS and TMS servers are supported.
