Track Merge question, adding to existing tracks
« on: January 17, 2010, 09:13:57 AM »
Unless I'm missing something, the only way to add to tracks is to create another tracks and use the merge tracks feature.   But the new track is not part of the existing file and the merged track has to be saved as another file (which can then be missing other tracks that weren't merged if they exist in the original file). I'd like to be able to do all of the work on a file within the loaded file's memory.

Hi,

You can combine multiple files by selecting them (either using CTRL or SHIFT clicking) in the active/loaded file list at the bottom of the TF window.  Right click once you have them selected, then choose "Merge Files and save as...".  All tracks and waypoints in the files will be saved into the new file.

Does that help, or do you need something else?
