It would be very nice if it was possible to open *.gdb files

Thanks for the suggestion.

Just curious why -- Mapsource can open/save GPX, so I always use it to convert any .gdb files.

Is there a significant source of .gdb files somewhere, or?

Just for ease of use. I can always convert in Mapsource as you say. Low Priority request.
