Export To HTML
« on: July 17, 2008, 05:29:51 AM »
Is there a way to export length, moving time, avg speed, max speed, total time, stopped time, uphill time, downhill time, flat time. Etc etc to an html table?. As I wish to publish this data to my website

Yes, try using the PhotoFusion "generate HTML Imagemap" function.

You don't need to have placed any photos with the GPS track, just have it generate the HTML page -- at the bottom there will be a table with various stats in it.

Otherwise, another idea is to look at your TFlog.csv file -- you can copy lines out of there to make a HTML table out of.  Those stats will be in a little different units though (often Metric), but conversions shouldn't be too hard.

Hope that helps.

I was unable to do an export with the photofusion and csv does not give me all the information I need. I am only getting
Zone
Easting
Northing
Elevation
Time
Elapsed Time (seconds)
Distance(meters)

It would be nice if I could just right click on the gpx file and say export track Stats. I dont mind what format the stats are in(XML,html, csv).

Right, the CSV export isn't really for stats -- just getting the points out.

There's an automatically generated file (assuming you downloaded your tracks in TopoFusion) called TFlog.csv that does have a number of stats in it.  It's in your default tracks directory.

(You can also add a file to the log if you didn't download in TF).

For the future, I really like your idea of an "export stats" function.  I'm sure it'll be useful.  Perhaps a "copy stats to clipboard" function would be handy as well.

Thanks for the suggestion.  Give the logbook file a try in the meantime.

The tracks are first downloaded in other program that came with the device. only way i can get the track data.

just another thought. on the top right hand side you can select the different map types, would it be possible to select like google maps, as the landsat maps are not the best quality in the UK and its hard to see the bridalways, but still be able to draw the tracks out?

We'd love to add Google maps, and it might be possible in a somewhat more limited form (with limited functionality).  But having it fully integrated isn't much of an option.

Thanks for the suggestion.  We need to think about it some more.

drawing the track i dont think can be done, but am sure you can click to create the points. I have seen this done before. you might be able to tap into the google maps API, but would have to be in a webpage and use JS
