Reverse route for climbing analysis?
« on: January 02, 2005, 10:16:12 AM »
I like to use Climbing Analysis to track climbing for mountain bike rides.  Sometimes I forget to turn my GPS off at the end of a ride, so it continues saving track points, overwriting early portions of my route.  For out-and-back rides, I could simply re-use the same data for the lost portion if I could reverse the route for the Climbing Analysis.  I know I can use the "v" key to do this with the Profile Tool, but how can I do this for Climbing Analysis?

This is a good point -- it only shows climbing totals, not descending.

The best way to do this is to use the 'v' key, then right click and save as... to a new .GPX file for use in climbing analysis.  When I rework the climbing analysis dialog I may add an option to reverse, or at least show descending numbers as well (this would solve your problem too, right?)

OK, thanks.  I didn't realize I could save from there.
